Dr Athila Jayasinghe
Dr Athila Jayasinghe is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner with broad clinical experience across hospital and primary care settings. He is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-centred care, with a strong emphasis on clear communication, prevention, and shared decision-making.
He holds an MBBS, a Master of Science in Human Nutrition, and Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP International). His strong academic background in nutrition complements his clinical practice, allowing him to take a holistic approach to health, particularly in chronic disease prevention and lifestyle-related conditions.
Dr Jayasinghe has experience managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions and provides comprehensive care across all age groups. His clinical focus includes preventive health, metabolic and cardiovascular risk management, and long-term chronic disease care.
He is known for his calm, structured, and empathetic consultation style. He takes time to listen, explain medical conditions clearly, and support patients in making informed decisions that align with their goals and lifestyle.

Dr Ayesha Akram
Dr Ayesha Akram is a compassionate and highly experienced General Practitioner with over 10 years of clinical practice, including 7 years in the UAE, where she delivered high-quality primary care in multicultural settings. She combines clinical excellence with a warm, patient-centred approach to care that many patients appreciate and trust.
Dr Akram previously served at Mediclinic Middle East, one of the UAE’s leading private healthcare providers, where she managed a broad range of acute and chronic conditions, health checks, preventive care, and wellness support for patients of all ages.
She holds an MBBS and MRCGP (International) qualification and was the top scorer inthe MRCGP (INT) OSCE exam (February 2024) – a testament to her strong clinical skills, professionalism, and exceptional communication.
Dr Akram has a special interest in Chronic Disease Management, Women’s Health and Preventive Care, Mental Health Support, Geriatric Care and Wellness, Paediatric Care and Family Medicine.
Her consultations are known for being thorough, reassuring and easy to understand. Dr Akram takes time to listen, explain, and partner with her patients in making healthcare decisions that suit their lives, goals, and values.
She speaks English, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, and basic Arabic, allowing her to support patients from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds with ease and empathy.
Outside medicine, Dr Akram lives in Geelong with her husband and two energetic boys.
She enjoys travelling and exploring new cultures in her spare time.
Dr Reem Abdul Fatah
Dr Reem has practised as a GP since 2013, cultivating her skills and exercising her passion to assist others.
Her specific professional interests include that of female and mental health.
She has found that her vocation allows a harmonious balance between work and home life which has been beneficial in the raising of her 3 children. In the meantime, she enjoys leisure’s such as cooking, shopping, and gardening.

Payment
- The “Out of pocket” cost is the difference between the consultation fee and Medicare Rebate.
- Medicare Rebate claims are processed on the day of consultation and deposited into your nominated bank account.
- We do not process insurance claims directly. Patients are required to pay the full consultation fee on the day of their appointment and claim reimbursement from their insurer afterwards.
- We are a bulk billing practice.
- Please pay for your consultation on the day of your appointment.

- Minor procedures (including iron infusions, venesections, ECG’s, lung function tests, 24-hour BP monitoring)

Cancellation Fees
- We require at least 2 hours’ notice prior to cancelling an appointment. A $50 cancellation fee will apply if adequate notice is not given.

With over 40 years of experience, working as a Physiotherapist in the healthcare industry, Mark Harris has both the knowledge and skills to help you address any Musculoskeletal or Orthopaedic problems that you might have. His brand of healthcare encompasses a compassionate and caring approach, characterised by a hands-on approach to therapy.
Mark Harris holds a bachelor’s degrees with honours in Physiotherapy, Applied Science and an MBA in Business Administration.
He specialises in all areas of Physiotherapy, including Rehabilitation, Musculoskeletal, and Pain Management. Mark Harris employs a combination of hands-on therapy, dry needling, and soft tissue mobilisation in his approach to therapy.
He has lived in Ocean Grove for over 25 years and is a committed member of the community, involved in the governance of the local health provider and sporting clubs.
